03.03.2008 - Adamantra on the road - Spring 2009

A set of Adamantra shows have now been confirmed for spring 2009, to support the upcoming album .. and for the pure hell of live performance!!

Off for other duties for the time being, Risto Kupiainen will be replaced by keyboard player Vili Ollila for the upcoming gigs. See the Live dates -section for more information.

02.03.2009 - An upcoming record in the making!

Today was an another landmark day for the upcoming Adamantra album. Mastering of the record is happening today, in the prestigious Finnvox studios!

A spring release is scheduled for the album, stay tuned!!!

Metallimessu -album hits the Finnish charts at #12!

Adamantra vocalist Tumppi will be featured on the upcoming Metallimessu-album!

Other frontmen featured on the album are Taage (Kilpi), Ville Tuomi (Sub-Urban Tribe), Tanya (ex-Lullacry), Juhani Muhonen (Sorrowind) and Heikki Pöyhiä (Twilightning).

Also featured on the Metallimessu-album is Pekka Kuusisto, one of the most prominent violinists in Finland. Metallimessu (Metal mass) is a Holy Communion Service with hymns which are remade by metal music. The album will be out on 20th of October via Kaiku Entertainment/Warner Music, so be sure to check it out!

Adamantra gets praised by Finnish rock media! The May issue of Soundi magazine features an Adamantra Also, check out reviews of promo disc for the upcoming Adamantra album: a 5/5 accompanied by the heavy metal sign by Imperiumi and the one at Desibeli.net.

A new track, titled "Beyond Disillusions" can now be heard at Adamantra MySpace. The track has already been aired by the most of the high profile rock radio shows, also.

Adamantra and Tommi Ahtila part ways

Tommi Ahtila is no longer included in the Adamantra line-up, the decision was made under common understanding between Adamantra and Tommi. Regardless, Adamantra will continue forward with a 110% effort.

'Shattered' from the upcoming album available at Adamantra MySpace

The track comes off the group's debut album, which was recently mixed by Mikko Mustonen (best known for his work with NORTHERN KINGS, a band consisting of members of NIGHTWISH and SONATA ARCTICA, among other groups).

ADAMANTRA is about to start the first round of label negotiations for the release of the album.

Studio update

Things have been working out nicely at D-Studio. Drum and bass guitar tracks for the upcoming full-lenght release have been laid down, and guitar work is being wrapped up just about now by Tommi and Panu. More recording work and studio updates are to follow. Stay tuned..
